Natalia Yungerlevi is the founder and owner of OrderUp Customers, a complete marketing system for restaurants, food trucks, and other foodservice businesses, but her entrepreneurial journey doesn’t start here. For Natalia, sales and entrepreneurship began at a young age and has always been in her blood. It started as an escape, and ultimately became a lifesaver.
At the age of 6 years old, Natalia left Russia as a refugee, and after bouncing around from country to country for years ultimately relocated to California. The hard times didn’t stop there. With her father being killed, and her mother was dealing with mental illness - Natalia found refuge through entrepreneurship.
At the age of 10, she started her first business as a way to get away from her troubled home life and started making $300 a month. Not bad for a kid in the 90’s, and after a few months of saving, she used this to run away from home. True story!
Over the next 10 years, Natalia was often homeless or in and out of foster care. But despite her struggles, her determination and fighting spirit kept her looking forward and unknowingly building business and sales skills that would be the key to her future success.
At first, it was Mary Kay sales, where Natalia was a top salesperson. Then, after college, she started a doggy daycare business that was wildly successful until her business partner, and adoptive mother unexpectedly passed away.
As sad as the passing of her adoptive mother was, Natalia continued to press on, this time putting her sales skills to good use in the insurance industry with PMA USA, A Washington National Company. She immediately rose to the top and was an award-winning, top-tier salesperson for 6 years in a row.
Then COVID hit.
Natalia immediately decided to utilize her sales experience and digital marketing expertise to help her clients grow their businesses online. The results spoke for themselves, and before she knew it, Natalia was running a successful digital marketing agency called Keys to Retention.
After just a couple of years of working with clients, Natalia realized there was a need that combined her two passions of delicious food and helping companies with their marketing, this is when OrderUp Customers was born.
As she worked with restaurants and food trucks, she noticed they had two major problems. First, they were experiencing death by 100 subscriptions and still not getting the results they wanted. And second, the software they did have wasn’t helping them land the large events and catering jobs they really wanted. So, she created OrderUp Customers as a tool for foodservice businesses to consolidate and automate their marketing efforts in one place, land more large event catering jobs, and exponentially grow their business because of it.
